Oz: The Great and Powerful

http://disney.go.com/thewizard/

Disney has done it again. As soon as I saw the trailer for Oz, I knew I had to see it. It was once a childhood favourite, and this was a take on the famous "Wizard of Oz" film. I was not disappointed. I would actually go as far as saying this is one of my favourite all time films! I headed to the local cinema, put on my 3D glasses and was transported to a colourful, fabulous world.

This is a must see for anyone, of any age. The cinema was filled with many- young and old. The movie started off in black and white, but this was not an example of what was to come. The screen exploded with colour, and amazing scenery. As soon as I got home, I even looked up the glorious scenery but nothing compared to what I saw in the cinema. If you are planning on catching this, I really recommend going for the 3D option. Some films do not, in my opinion, live up to the 3D hype. But this is one movie  that I feel really captures this modern technology well.

Saying that though, I definitely will be buying the DVD so I can cheer up mundane Mondays with this beauty.

I am not going to say much about the story line. You could probably guess- there is a wicked witch, goodies and baddies, the ugly and the pretty. It's not too predictable, however, which is a bonus. The costume and design is something that is not to be missed.

 So there we have it!

A shining review. If you are bored this evening, why not check it out?!

See you soon,
